**Junior Engineer (Civil)** – Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. **Pay Scale:** Level-6 (₹35,400–1,12,400) as per 7th CPC + DA + HRA + Transport Allowance. **Job Profile:** - Execution of civil works including buildings, roads, drainage, and façade works at Central Government projects. - Preparation of estimates as per CPWD Schedule of Rates (DSR), specifications, and drawings. - Maintaining measurement books (MB), site registers, and issue of materials from stores. - Quality testing of construction materials (concrete cubes, bitumen, soil) as per IS standards. - Supervision of contractors, labourers, and ensuring adherence to CPWD Works Manual. - Maintenance of iconic buildings – Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate complex. **Recruitment Authority:** Directly by CPWD / through SSC JE examination. **Selection (via SSC JE):** Paper-I (CBE) → Paper-II (Descriptive) → Document Verification. **Bond:** 2-year service bond after joining.
