**Assistant Engineer (Civil)** – Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Maharashtra. **Pay Scale:** ₹56,100–1,77,500 (Pay Matrix S-20) + DA + HRA + other Maharashtra Government allowances. **Job Profile:** - Preparation of plans, estimates, drawings, and specifications for buildings, roads, bridges, and drainage works. - Supervision and quality control of construction works under the division. - Checking and certifying contractor bills, MB entries, and work-completion certificates. - Maintenance and inspection of government buildings and roads in the division area. - Compliance with Maharashtra Public Works Manual (MPWM), IS Codes, and IRC standards. - Coordination with Revenue Department for land acquisition, local bodies, and utility agencies. **Recruiting Authority:** Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). **Selection:** Written Exam (Prelims + Mains) + Interview. **Marathi Language:** Mandatory (Marathi medium candidates preferred).
